The Great Kat is a scary woman who plays the guitar very fast. Faster than you, for sure. Faster than everybody, pretty much. Everyone at Mouthy is a fan and yet we all fear The Great Kat. Todd is the only one who could get up the nerve to even ask her some questions. Were the events for 9/11 the major influence in the tone of your new CD?
The WHOLE IDEA of WAGNER'S WAR came DIRECTLY from those EVENTS of 9/11!!!! The CONCEPT of WAGNER'S RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES is the BATTLE CRY to WAR!!!!! The song "WAR" was written out of SEVERE RAGE and the TERROR was written in HORROR out of the ATTACK on THE WORLD TRADE CENTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you find that your Julliard background prepared you for the shred scene?
YES!!! The Juilliard School of Music in New York City prepared me with the TECHNICAL training NECESSARY for CLASSICAL SHREDDING, which The Great Kat transformed to Shred/Classical. I studied Scales, Arpeggios, Etudes, Studies, Orchestra, Chamber Music and solo studies on the violin for years!!!!!!!!! THAT'S WHY THE GREAT KAT IS THE WORLD'S FASTEST GUITAR and VIOLIN SHREDDER!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are some pretty disturbing images in the video, one might call them "pro-mass destruction."Do you feel strongly that total retaliation is the way to address these attacks on the US, or was the imagery meant to convey more of the horrors of war?
